Burton wants to play five-eighth, and could leave the Bulldogs to do so.

Canterbury Bulldogs playmaker Matt Burton is reportedly set to be offered a major contract by the Perth Bears. The prospect of Burton departing Canterbury-Bankstown appears to be growing as interest from the rival franchise intensifies.
Burton reportedly wants to continue playing in the five-eighth role. A potential move on a permanent deal would allow him to secure his preferred position outside of Belmore.
