Victor Matfield has identified the Springbok he believes will deliver during the European leg of the Nations Championship.

Former South Africa lock Victor Matfield has tipped tighthead prop Wilco Louw to make a major impact for the Springboks during their upcoming November Tests. Speaking on the Rugby Rivals podcast, Matfield highlighted Louw alongside No 8 Jasper Wiese as essential senior leaders for the European tour matches against Italy, France, and Ireland.
Head coach Rassie Erasmus named six uncapped players in his 37-man squad after injuries ruled out key veterans, including Eben Etzebeth, Cheslin Kolbe, and Handré Pollard. Matfield believes Louw's dominant scrummaging form will prove vital for the world champions in wet European conditions.
