Ellie Kildunne has been dropped to the bench in the England Red Roses squad to face Canada on Friday, a week on from suffering defeat in Toronto which ended a 41-match unbeaten run.

England Red Roses head coach John Mitchell has made four changes to the starting lineup to face Canada in Ottawa, notably benching fullback Ellie Kildunne. The adjustment follows England's 24-21 defeat to Canada in Toronto, which snapped the team's 41-match unbeaten streak. Mitchell stated that Kildunne is going through a difficult period in search of consistency and emphasized the importance of competition.
Emma Sing and Mia Venner join the starting backline, while Helena Rowland returns at inside-centre. In the forwards, Sadia Kabeya starts at openside flanker, with Alex Matthews moving to the replacements bench alongside Kildunne.
