The Tigers managed to see the game out to move into fifth after two Prem matches, while Newcastle slipped to a second successive league defeat.

Leicester Tigers clinched their first Gallagher Premiership victory of the season with a hard-fought 24-19 win over Newcastle at a sold-out Kingston Park. Newcastle debutant Obi Ene opened the scoring early, but first-half tries from Samiuela Moli and Adam Radwan, alongside Billy Searle's kicking, gave the Tigers a 17-5 lead at halftime.
Newcastle mounted a second-half response with a try from George McGuigan before Will Hurd powered over to re-establish Leicester's cushion. Despite a late score from Newcastle's Cam Jordan, Leicester held on to secure the victory and climb to fifth in the standings.
