Munster have confirmed that chief executive Ian Flanagan will step down from his role at the end of October, bringing his tenure at the province to a close.

Munster Rugby has officially confirmed that chief executive Ian Flanagan will step down from his position at the end of October. Appointed in 2019, Flanagan has notified the Munster Rugby Board of his departure. The IRFU and the province will name an interim CEO in the coming weeks ahead of launching a formal recruitment process for a permanent successor.
Flanagan's tenure notably featured the development and completion of Munster's €7.3 million Centre of Excellence in Cork, which board chair Ger Malone highlighted as an important long-term investment. His announced exit follows recent public comments from former Munster captain Peter O'Mahony calling for governance changes at the province.
