Saracens ‘delighted’ to confirm retention of PWR Player of the Season

Reigning Premiership Women's Rugby player of the season Olivia Apps has officially re-signed with Saracens ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The 27-year-old Canadian scrum-half played an instrumental role in ending Saracens' four-year title drought last season, culminating in a 52-14 victory over Trailfinders Women in the PWR final. Saracens Women's Director of Rugby Alex Austerberry praised Apps for her exceptional impact, work rate, and leadership both on and off the field.

Apps' contract renewal comes as Saracens navigates significant squad turnover, having added Ellie Boatman and Beth Wilcock while losing veterans like Marlie Packer and Rosie Galligan. An Olympic silver medallist who also helped Canada reach the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup final, Apps is currently preparing for back-to-back WXV Global Series fixtures against England's Red Roses in Toronto and Ottawa.
