Undeb Rygbi Cymru yn Penodi Cadeirydd Newydd – Lyndon Faulkner

The Welsh Rugby Union has appointed Welsh businessman Lyndon Faulkner as its new independent Chair following a global search. Faulkner will officially assume the position by the union's Annual General Meeting on Sunday, November 22. In his role, he will be responsible for leading the board, setting the strategic direction for Welsh rugby, and holding executive leadership accountable.

Faulkner previously played rugby for Newport and Pontypool before retiring early due to a head injury. He subsequently built an executive career in business, holding leadership roles at Nimbus CD International, Technicolor, Microsoft, and Pelican Products Inc., and will now work alongside WRU Chief Executive Abi Tierney.
