Ospreys and Wales scrum-half Kieran Hardy faces months out after it was confirmed he needs surgery on an injured knee.

Wales and Ospreys scrum-half Kieran Hardy faces months on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury that requires surgery. The 30-year-old was helped off the field during Ospreys' 38-31 win against Dragons on Friday. Ospreys transition coach Richard Kelly confirmed that Hardy's rehabilitation will likely take months rather than weeks, with an exact recovery timeline to be established following the operation.
The injury rules the 32-cap international out of Wales' upcoming November Tests, starting against Japan on November 7. Hardy is also considered a serious doubt for the 2027 Six Nations. His prolonged absence could open opportunities for Ospreys teammate Reuben Morgan-Williams, while potentially prompting calls for 36-year-old Gareth Davies to reconsider his international retirement ahead of the next Rugby World Cup.
