Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon voiced intense frustration over goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo's error during Celtic's UEFA Europa League match against Benfica. Commentating on TNT Sports, Lennon branded Sinisalo's risky loose pass into danger as unacceptable after it nearly gifted Benfica a fourth goal in Lisbon.
Celtic struggled heavily throughout the match, trailing 3-0 after early goals from Alexander Bah and a brace by Jhon Duran. Although Camilo Duran pulled a goal back for Celtic, Vangelis Pavlidis eventually sealed a 4-1 victory for the Portuguese hosts.
