Report: Liverpool eyeing £60m Premier League powerhouse who’s been backed for ‘even bigger move’

Liverpool are reportedly monitoring Leeds United center-back Tarik Muharemovic alongside European clubs Inter Milan and Barcelona, according to TEAMtalk. The 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international joined Leeds from Sassuolo for £34m in July and is already valued at £60m by the Yorkshire club, who reportedly do not intend to sell him soon.

Liverpool are assessing defensive succession plans with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both facing expiring contracts next summer. Pundit Owen Hargreaves recently tipped Muharemovic for an even bigger move following a strong start to the season, though Liverpool are reportedly less heavily invested in a permanent transfer than other European suitors.
