Lukas Van Ness is enjoying the best season of his career, but the Packers need him after a slight dip in production.

Anthony Nash of Lombardi Ave argues that the Green Bay Packers need edge rusher Lukas Van Ness to recapture his early-season form. After starting the 2026 campaign strongly with three sacks across his first two games, Van Ness has experienced a statistical downturn over the past four weeks as the Packers enter a critical stretch.
Van Ness failed to record a single tackle, sack, or quarterback hit during the Packers' recent 20-17 defeat against the Detroit Lions. While PFF grades show he continues to generate pressure through quarterback hurries, Nash stresses that Green Bay requires the former first-round pick to consistently finish plays and register sacks.
