Ireland Wolfhounds coach Sean Cody has called for Super League's upcoming Dublin fixtures to include an Irish team as an opening match to boost the domestic game. Next April, Wigan will play Warrington and Hull FC will face St Helens at the 20,000-capacity Laya Arena in Dublin.
Cody highlighted the idea following the Wolfhounds' series sweep over Scotland Bravehearts, including a 30-16 victory in Westmanstown. He emphasized that reviving the Wolfhounds provides local club players with a vital development pathway to grow rugby league across Ireland.
