Ben Simmons had worked his way back to the NBA and into the Kings’ plans. Now he faces another lengthy recovery, just days before the season begins. Simmons is suffered a torn right Achilles tendon during Sunday’s practice.
Ben Simmons stated his career is not over after suffering a torn right Achilles tendon during practice on Sunday. The injury is expected to sideline the Sacramento Kings player for the entire season just days before the regular season begins, following an encouraging training camp and preseason run.
Simmons, who signed a one-year deal with Sacramento after missing the 2025-26 season, took to Instagram to affirm his intention to return to the court. His absence creates a major setback for head coach Doug Christie and the Kings, who are also managing injuries to Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell.
