The Sabres are trying to find the right lineup combinations after a few key offseason departures, but one Buffalo player is turning heads amid a red-hot start.

Daily Faceoff analyst Steven Ellis predicted Buffalo Sabres winger Jack Quinn could challenge for a 40-goal season in 2026-27. The 25-year-old forward has recorded nine points across Buffalo's first nine games of the season, playing on an effective line alongside Zach Benson and Noah Ostlund.
Writer Tim Daniels highlights that Quinn's average ice time has jumped to 19:34 under head coach Lindy Ruff. With Quinn scheduled to become a restricted free agent after the season, general manager Jarmo Kekalainen faces looming contract extension decisions.
