The New York Islanders secured a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks to claim their second consecutive win of the season. New York built an early lead with first-period goals from Ondrej Palat, Victor Eklund, and Simon Holmstrom, while Frank Vatrano scored Anaheim's initial goal. Goaltender Ilya Sorokin stopped 15 shots to earn the win.
