Christian Walton says he would love to finish his career at Ipswich Town. Stuart Watson spoke to the long-serving goalkeeper following the latest chapter in his rollercoaster Blues story.
Ipswich Town goalkeeper Christian Walton has revealed he wants to finish his career at Portman Road after recently winning back his starting spot. Walton suffered a pre-season foot fracture and faced added competition following the summer arrivals of Kjell Scherpen and Kayne van Oevelen. However, after replacing Scherpen against Everton, Walton started consecutive matches against Fulham and Manchester City.
The 30-year-old shot-stopper recently extended his contract with Ipswich Town through 2029, which would mark nine years with the club. Walton highlighted the healthy internal competition among the goalkeepers and emphasized that leaning on his past experiences will help him perform at his peak in the Premier League.
