Celtic assistant Shaun Maloney has been speaking about his side's midfield issues in the big games in Europe.

Celtic assistant coach Shaun Maloney has warned that his team must resolve structural midfield problems ahead of their crucial Europa League clash against Celta Vigo. Filling in for manager Martin O'Neill during the pre-match press conference, Maloney stressed that Celtic must quickly adapt to limit Celta Vigo's open midfield style after losing their opening two group games.
Maloney noted that finding midfield solidity requires full commitment from both the central players and the attackers ahead of them. The Celtic Bhoys writes that Celtic have struggled against stronger competition and lack a dominant midfielder ahead of the January transfer window.
