Manzambi limped off in Villa’s 1-0 victory against Newcastle United last week.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery confirmed that midfielder Johan Manzambi will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against Manchester City. The 21-year-old suffered the effects of a kick and limped off during Villa's 1-0 win against Newcastle United. Although MRI scans were positive, Manzambi missed the midweek 3-1 Champions League victory against Viking to rest.
Emery confirmed that while the injury is not major, the club will evaluate Manzambi during Friday's training session before deciding on his availability. Amadou Onana, Matteo Ruggeri, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka remain ruled out. The upcoming fixture also marks Emery's fourth anniversary as Aston Villa manager, with the club sitting 12th in the Premier League table.
