For the first time since being fired in late April, Alex Cora opened up about the end of his Red Sox tenure on a recent podcast.

Six months after being dismissed as manager of the Boston Red Sox, Alex Cora spoke publicly about his April 25 firing on the Baseball Isn’t Boring podcast with Rob Bradford. Cora expressed frustration that chief baseball officer Craig Breslow dismissed multiple members of his coaching staff on the same day, arguing that the front office should have targeted only him if a new voice was needed.
Cora also voiced some regrets regarding his immediate reaction on the day of the firing, acknowledging that he posted inappropriate content online and sent reactionary messages. Looking ahead, Cora stated that he hopes any future managerial role involves working with a top executive who personally chose him.
