Williams will be giving its protege another extra FP1 session beyond what it should.

Williams has confirmed that junior driver Luke Browning will take part in two more FP1 sessions during the 2026 season. The British driver will replace Alex Albon for opening practice at the Mexico City Grand Prix, before stepping into Carlos Sainz's car for FP1 at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
These outings bring Browning's total to five FP1 appearances in the FW48 this year, following sessions in Barcelona, Austria, and Italy. Several other teams have also named practice replacements for Mexico, including Fred Vesti at Mercedes, Jak Crawford at Aston Martin, and Freddie Slater making his debut for Audi.
