Arshdeep Singh became the first Indian bowler to reach 150 T20I wickets after dismissing New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner during the fourth T20I at Eden Park in Auckland. The left-arm pacer reached the milestone in 1,577 days from his debut, surpassing Wanindu Hasaranga's record of 2,325 days to become the quickest bowler to the feat by span of days.
Singh also set the record for the most T20I wickets in a calendar year by a bowler from a Full Member nation, claiming his 40th wicket of 2026 to overtake Josh Little and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Despite his milestone, New Zealand posted 259/7 in their 20 overs, powered by Glenn Phillips' 107 off 49 balls.
