Former India batter Mohammad Kaif has questioned India's decision to leave Vaibhav Sooryavanshi out of the fourth T20I against New Zealand. He believes the young batter should have been given another opportunity, especially after India had already secured the series.
Former India batter Mohammad Kaif has criticized India's decision to drop youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for the fourth T20I against New Zealand. Sooryavanshi was replaced by the returning Ishan Kishan after featuring in the second and third matches, which Kaif argues harmed the young batter's development after India had secured an unassailable 3-0 series lead.
Kaif suggested that India rushed Kishan back into the side and should have instead rested him to grant Sooryavanshi more playing time. Following India's 87-run defeat in Auckland, Sooryavanshi could potentially return to the lineup for the fifth T20I at Seddon Park, possibly replacing the struggling Sanju Samson.
