Marat Khusnutdinov could be Don Sweeney’s next Bruins contract priority

Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney signed rookie center Fraser Minten to a long-term contract extension earlier this summer, leaving winger Marat Khusnutdinov as an upcoming contract priority. Khusnutdinov is among eight Bruins players who will need extensions before the 2027-28 season. While Minten secured a seven-year deal carrying a $7.2 million average annual value, Khusnutdinov currently remains without a long-term extension.

Khusnutdinov recorded 15 goals and 18 assists during the 2025-26 campaign. The Bruins front office remains hopeful that the Russian winger will develop into a reliable middle-six contributor capable of killing penalties and providing secondary scoring alongside his strong energy.
