Liverpool are hoping to welcome back two players from injury during the international break

Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola faces squad selection decisions ahead of the Premier League match against Manchester City on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The Reds are hoping to welcome Giovanni Leoni and Federico Chiesa back to group training during the international break following injuries. Their returns would increase competition for places in the 20-man domestic matchday squad.
Iraola has used 25 different players across his first seven games, with 21 earning playing time. Wataru Endo was recently dropped from the squad against AFC Bournemouth, while Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley, and Vitezslav Jaros remain long-term absentees.
