Liverpool told they ‘surely’ must sign new winger after landing wrong PSG star

Pundits Julien Laurens and Dougie Critchley suggested Liverpool may need to sign a new right-sided winger in the upcoming January transfer window. Liverpool signed left winger Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer to help succeed Mohamed Salah, which has forced natural left-sided attacker Cody Gakpo to operate primarily on the right wing.

Critchley argued that former PSG attacker Kang-in Lee, who moved to Atletico Madrid, would have been a more suitable permanent target for the right flank. Meanwhile, Laurens noted that Liverpool might target a natural right winger like Yankuba Minteh in January to restore balance to their squad.
