Liverpool outcast Harvey Elliott accused of being overweight as he’s set deadline to get in shape

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has reportedly been deemed overweight by Valencia after joining the La Liga side on loan. Spanish outlet Marca reported that the 23-year-old arrived out of shape following an insufficient pre-season and has been set a deadline to improve his fitness. Elliott has played 85 minutes across three substitute appearances for Valencia against Barcelona, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad.

The loan move follows a difficult 2024-25 season on loan at Aston Villa, where Elliott made only nine appearances as the club avoided triggering a £35 million obligation to buy. Despite Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola indicating Elliott would receive opportunities in pre-season, the club sanctioned his loan departure to Spain.
