Cardiff’s Bielik charged by FA over Portsmouth incident

The Football Association has charged Cardiff City defender Krystian Bielik with misconduct following an altercation with a Portsmouth supporter. The incident occurred during Cardiff's 2-0 Championship loss at Fratton Park on September 5, 2026. The 28-year-old Poland international has been given until September 25 to officially respond to the allegation of improper conduct.

Hampshire Police concluded their investigation after resolving the matter through an agreed out-of-court disposal, which included an apology from Bielik. The altercation took place around the 71st minute when Bielik went to retrieve the ball from the crowd, prompting the ejection of two supporters.
