Connor Roberts disappointed that Craig Bellamy didn’t become manager of Burnley

Connor Roberts expressed disappointment that Craig Bellamy did not take over as manager of Burnley. Speaking on BBC Wales' Feast of Football, the Wales and Burnley defender praised Bellamy and stated he would have welcomed his former coach back at Turf Moor. Bellamy instead remained committed to his role as Wales head coach following discussions between Burnley and the Welsh FA.

Burnley appointed Nicky Hayen, under whom the club sits bottom of the Championship with four points from eight matches. Bellamy confirmed in a press conference that Burnley approached Wales for permission to speak with him, but he chose to stay in his current national team role with his family.
