Preston North End make approach for League One boss in new manager hunt

Preston North End have approached Bradford City to request permission to speak with manager Graham Alexander regarding their vacant managerial position. The Championship side parted ways with Paul Heckingbottom earlier this month after dropping to 23rd place in the table following eight matches.

Alexander is under contract with Bradford City until 2028, meaning a compensation package would be necessary if a deal moves forward. The 54-year-old manager previously made 410 appearances as a player for Preston North End and currently has Bradford City sitting top of League One.
