Emotional Wrexham star Sheaf delighted to be back after injury ordeal

Wrexham midfielder Ben Sheaf made his first appearance of the season in a 2-1 Championship victory over Southampton at The Racecourse. The 28-year-old started the match and played 65 minutes after recovering from shoulder, calf, and knee ligament issues suffered during pre-season.

The appearance marked Sheaf's first start in approximately seven months, following a medial ligament injury sustained in February against Ipswich Town. Manager Phil Parkinson named the former Coventry City player to the starting lineup after Sheaf completed a full week of training.
