The Rochester Red Wings win their first International League title since 1997

The Rochester Red Wings, the Washington Nationals' Triple-A affiliate, captured their first International League title since 1997 by defeating the Memphis Redbirds in a decisive Game 3. Overcoming a 2-1 deficit, Rochester mounted an eighth-inning comeback led by Andrew Pinckney before Eddy Yean earned the save in the ninth inning to secure the championship.

Under manager Matt LeCroy, the Red Wings concluded a 90-58 regular season following a 59-88 campaign the previous year. Rochester now advances to face the Los Angeles Dodgers' affiliate, the Oklahoma City Comets, in the Triple-A championship game in Las Vegas.
