Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero reflected on his development, highlighting the lessons learned from working out with Kevin Durant and receiving mentorship from God Shammgod. Banchero emphasized absorbing Durant's high-intensity habits and game-speed repetitions during their summer session, while noting that Shammgod provided critical wisdom both on and off the court during his tenure on Orlando's coaching staff.
Banchero is coming off a season where he averaged career-best numbers and led Orlando to a 45–37 regular-season record. Looking forward, the Magic enter the upcoming campaign under new head coach Sean Sweeney, who takes over a core featuring Banchero, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, and newcomer Desmond Bane.
