Chelsea & Arsenal showing keen interest in signing 6ft 5in colossal – report

Chelsea and Arsenal are both showing keen interest in signing Como center-back Jacobo Ramon, according to Spanish outlet AS. Chelsea are reportedly considering defensive reinforcements next year after struggling with defensive frailties and conceding 15 goals in seven matches under Xabi Alonso this season. Arsenal have also expressed interest in the defender despite previously reinforcing their backline with Ezri Konsa following William Saliba's injury.

Ramon joined Cesc Fabregas's Como from Real Madrid last year and is currently contracted until 2030, with a valuation of around £39 million. Real Madrid retain a 50% sell-on clause and a buyback option, although Ramon previously turned down a return to avoid being a rotational option. Como are reportedly in no rush to sell the 6ft 5in defender, who prefers playing regular first-team football.
