The Orlando Magic opened training camp eager to learn from their new coaches and implementing the kind of team they will become.

The Orlando Magic launched their training camp on Tuesday under new head coach Sean Sweeney with an intense, highly organized practice session. Players engaged in fast-paced drills as the coaching staff focused heavily on installing new defensive schemes and teaching refreshed terminology. Franz Wagner described the practice as scheduled to the second, highlighting the staff's intentional approach to setting team standards.
Sweeney and the players noted that adapting to the new terminology poses an early hurdle after five years under former coach Jamahl Mosley. Both Wagner and Paolo Banchero expressed confidence in quickly picking up the changes to enhance their defensive performance. The Magic planned to install offensive sets during an evening session ahead of their preseason opener on October 7.
