Sean Sweeney has spent plenty of time discussing what the Magic’s new offense should look like. One part apparently isn’t open for discussion. That would be none other than spacing.
Orlando Magic coach Sean Sweeney is emphasizing a five-out offensive system in training camp, calling floor spacing a mandatory requirement for his players. According to a report by Sports Illustrated, Sweeney stressed that disciplined spacing is an obligation teammates owe to one another.
Sweeney's system requires quick decision-making and precise positioning to prevent the court from shrinking. He learned his foundational principles under coaches Rick Majerus and Jim Crews, which he aims to apply to elevate Orlando's offensive execution.
