Bastoni: ‘If Italy can play like this with France, we can do it against anyone’

Alessandro Bastoni praised Italy's resilience after scoring to earn a 1-1 draw against France in Paris, claiming the performance proves the Azzurri can compete with any team. Bastoni, who also scored recently against Turkiye, has become the leading goalscorer in manager Roberto Mancini's second stint in charge. France ended the match with ten men after Dayot Upamecano received a late red card.

The Inter Milan defender had previously faced intense criticism and spent time out of the national side following a red card in a World Cup play-off match against Bosnia and Herzegovina. Speaking to RAI Sport, Bastoni affirmed that he never lost faith in himself despite the past setback and stated that the draw in Paris provides Italy with significant confidence moving forward.
