Charlotte Hornets guard Coby White will miss the rest of the preseason after suffering a left calf strain during training camp, the team announced Monday. White signed a three-year, $74 million contract with Charlotte over the summer and is slated for a major backcourt role following the trade of LaMelo Ball.
White joins guard Kon Knueppel on the sidelines, who is also out for the preseason due to a hamstring injury. Charlotte acquired White from the Chicago Bulls in February, and the team opens its regular season on October 21 against Brooklyn.
