Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman has rebounded from a late-season slump, batting .429 through the first two games of the NL Division Series. After dealing with right knee patellar tendinitis in September, Freeman hit his first home run since September 2 during Sunday's Game 2 loss to the Atlanta Braves.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted that Freeman's swing mechanics and lower-body health improved significantly during the team's bye week. The NLDS now shifts to Atlanta for Game 3 on Tuesday, marking Freeman's first postseason appearance at Truist Park since the 2021 World Series.
