Max Verstappen is just built different - he might be the only driver in the F1 paddock who does not dream of one day racing for Ferrari.

Max Verstappen has dismissed the idea of racing for Ferrari, explaining that he prioritizes winning over nostalgia. Speaking to The Press Association, the four-time world champion questioned the purpose of joining the Italian team merely to finish fifth or sixth. Verstappen recently signed a massive contract extension with Red Bull through to 2030, despite previously holding talks with McLaren and drawing long-term interest from Mercedes.
Following a difficult start to the 2026 season under new regulations, Verstappen has rebounded with a second-place finish in Azerbaijan and a recent race victory. The Dutchman reiterated that his future beyond his current deal will depend on his full commitment to racing alongside spending time with his family.
