With Mason Miller missing a Padres playoff game and being put on the paternity list, a former SF Giants reliever was added to the playoff roster.

San Diego Padres closer Mason Miller missed Game 3 of the NLDS against the Milwaukee Brewers due to paternity leave for the birth of his first child. In his absence, former San Francisco Giants left-handed reliever Wandy Peralta was added to the Padres' playoff roster as a temporary replacement.
The Padres won Tuesday's contest without Miller or Adrian Morejon, relying on starter Michael King to pitch the final six outs. Nick San Miguel notes that the Giants could potentially pursue upcoming free-agent pitchers King and Morejon during the offseason, while Peralta could be removed once Miller returns for Game 4.
