Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly held talks regarding a potential move for Chelsea defender Josh Acheampong, according to TEAMtalk. Both clubs, along with Newcastle United, AFC Bournemouth, and several European sides, enquired about the 20-year-old's availability during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea reportedly have no intention of sanctioning a permanent sale for the defender, whose current contract runs until 2029. The Blues are even planning to offer Acheampong a new long-term deal extending through 2032 to fend off rival interest.
