The Chargers are missing three key players for their marquee game against the Broncos, making a must-win contest even tougher.

The winless Los Angeles Chargers have ruled out safety Derwin James, offensive tackle Joe Alt, and wide receiver Quentin Johnston for their Week 5 home matchup against the Denver Broncos. James is sidelined with a hamstring injury, Alt will miss the game with a neck injury, and Johnston is out due to a chest issue.
In addition to those absences, tackle Rashawn Slater is headed to injured reserve with an ankle injury, leaving the Chargers without both starting offensive tackles. With rookie Ladd McConkey also questionable due to a foot injury, quarterback Justin Herbert is expected to lean heavily on Tre Harris and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
