Just when you think it couldn't get any worse, it did.

The Los Angeles Chargers are facing severe injury issues ahead of their Week 5 game against the Denver Broncos, listing 13 players as questionable, doubtful, or out. Key starters ruled out include offensive tackle Joe Alt, wide receiver Quentin Johnston, cornerback Donte Jackson, and safety Derwin James Jr., while offensive tackle Rashawn Slater was placed on injured reserve following ankle surgery.
Bolt Beat reports that the team is heavily depleted across multiple positions, especially along the offensive line and in the receiving corps. Quarterback Trey Lance is listed as doubtful, and wide receiver Ladd McConkey is questionable after missing practice all week, leaving wide receiver Tre' Harris to take on a larger role.
