The San Francisco 49ers travel to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, where their defence will have to deal with the league’s most in-form wide receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan recalled being impressed by Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba when scouting Ohio State's Pro Day years ago. Shanahan explained that while evaluating quarterback Justin Fields, he noticed the then-freshman receiver catching passes throughout the workout and asked general manager John Lynch about him.
The unbeaten 49ers travel to face the Seahawks, with Shanahan preparing his defense to face the standout wideout. Smith-Njigba has recorded 481 receiving yards and six touchdowns through his first four games of the season, catching passes from quarterback Sam Darnold.
