Urs Fischer will have another valuable option to call upon in attack if Silas continues to make steady progress in his recovery.

FSV Mainz 05 forward Silas Katompa Mvumpa has taken part in segments of team training as he nears a full return to fitness. The 28-year-old was pictured working with the squad ahead of Mainz's upcoming match against FC Schalke 04.
Silas had been sidelined for roughly seven months after suffering a fractured left tibia and fibula during a Conference League match against SK Sigma Olomouc in March. Manager Urs Fischer could soon have the DR Congo international available, though Silas faces competition from in-form attackers Phillip Tietz and Sheraldo Becker.
