The Story in 60 Seconds

Former Liverpool academy player Toni Silva has accused the club of unfair treatment, claiming they favored English players over him during his time at Anfield. Speaking to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, the 33-year-old winger claimed he was a superior player to Raheem Sterling and said coaches even instructed Sterling to learn finishing from him before Silva departed in 2012.

Silva spent three years in Liverpool's youth setup without making a competitive first-team appearance, subsequently leaving on a free transfer to Barnsley.
