Liverpool have officially announced that academy defender Cam Williams has signed his first professional contract with the club on Tuesday. The 17-year-old left-back has been part of Liverpool's youth setup since the age of six and represents Scotland at the under-17 international level.
Williams returned at the start of the current campaign following a long-term injury that sidelined him for most of last season. The Empire of The Kop notes that he will likely need to progress through Liverpool's under-21 ranks before competing for a senior role under manager Andoni Iraola.
