Liverpool are turning their attention to other matters as they look to bounce back from their defeat to Manchester City

Liverpool reportedly remain confident of finalizing a new contract for 18-year-old Rio Ngumoha, despite reported interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich. Sporting director Julian Ward has prioritized the deal following Ngumoha becoming eligible for a long-term professional contract in August. Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney criticized Ryan Gravenberch on Match of the Day, labeling the midfielder's second yellow card as naive and stupid following his dismissal during Liverpool's defeat against Manchester City.
Gravenberch will serve a domestic suspension for the red card but remains eligible for Liverpool's upcoming Champions League trip to face LASK. Liverpool previously defeated Atletico Madrid in European competition under manager Andoni Iraola before losing their unbeaten domestic record against City.
