The petition was issued in August against the ex-Liverpool defender

A bankruptcy petition issued by HMRC against former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has been resolved after the debt was paid. Kevin Hassan, representing HMRC, confirmed the payment during a court hearing in London, though no specific figure was disclosed in court proceedings.
The petition was initially filed in August, with Carragher's spokesperson stating at the time that the issue was a private tax matter being settled immediately. Carragher, who made 737 appearances for Liverpool before retiring in 2013, currently works as a football pundit for Sky Sports and CBS.
