Brooklyn Nets point guard Nolan Traore has shown significant growth entering his second NBA season, demonstrating increased confidence and scoring output. Through three preseason games, the 20-year-old guard is averaging 13 points while shooting 65% from the field and 57.1% from three-point range. Head coach Jordi Fernandez praised Traore's aggressive three-point shooting and offseason dedication while challenging him to continue developing his defense.
Traore underwent arthroscopic knee surgery during the offseason, recovering fully while adding an inch in height and roughly 12 pounds of muscle. He noted that Brooklyn's faster, more open offensive system suits his transition play. However, Traore faces stiff backcourt competition for minutes in the rotation alongside teammates Mikel Brown Jr., Egor Demin, and Keon Ellis as the regular season approaches.
